Overview

The Quattro 220 is a secure solid-state XMC solution designed for C4ISR systems operating in demanding environments. Featuring up to 8TB of PCIe Gen4 NVMe memory, it delivers sustained high-throughput performance required for real-time sensor data capture, recording, and processing. Built using automotive-grade components, the Quattro 220 is engineered for maximum reliability and long service life in rugged deployments.

At the core of the design is a high-bandwidth, non-blocking PCIe Gen4 switch that enables flexible data-path topologies tailored to the application. This architecture allows memory resources to be partitioned and optimized for different workloads. For example, selected NVMe banks can be dedicated to accelerating program execution or analytics, while others can be configured as RAID groups to provide data redundancy and fault tolerance. This flexibility ensures optimal performance without compromising data integrity.

Security is built in at the hardware level. The Quattro 220 supports the TCG Opal 2.02 standard and implements AES-256-XTS encryption, ensuring data remains protected both at rest and in use.

The design also addresses long-term system sustainability. The M.2 BGA memory architecture protects against memory obsolescence by allowing upgrades to newer NVMe devices as they become available, without requiring a system redesign. Only a new build configuration is needed, extending platform longevity and preserving investment.

With its combination of PCIe Gen4 performance, flexible switching architecture, and proven reliability, the Quattro 220 provides a scalable and secure storage foundation for mission-critical systems.
